In most cases, your thoughts on your website rarely come to mind when you’re making decisions about prospects and donors.  Your initial thoughts are to set up a few pages of content, and maybe an email subscription page along with event registration forms.

Though your website is a cost to your organization, the thought of having it work for you (or heck get a Return On Your Investment) is something not considered.  But if your organization is exhausting any resources, financial or human, there should be a return on that investment. With that in mind, it was a priority for Nonprofit Vertical Source CRM to turn that resource into a tool for identifying opportunities with your constituents.  Which is why we integrated SalesIQ into our CRM.  SalesIQ plugs into NPV Source and identifies existing constituents in your database, and tracks on their record what pages they have visited, how long and when.

In my role, I often provide development officers with the best information and details about a prospect or lead to give them the best chance of cultivating them and getting a gift in the door.  With SalesIQ if my lead has been on the endowment page of the website multiple times and spent more than a few minutes on that page then when I go out to speak with that contact, I would take collateral for endowment and have that as my area of focus for their donor cycle.

I can’t tell you how many times I have walked into offices and everyone expected us to be able to pull a list of viable prospects out of air, after the organization had not maintained their data for years.  With this integration, there is no work to be done.  Once the integration is completed, it tracks the information about their time on your website without your involvement for the lifetime of your contact.

Ask yourself, could this benefit your organization?
