I have to say that since I started Lebertech over 2 years ago now, I started it based on the fact that I was exhausted with organizational politics and simply wanted to be in a role where I could make companies and organizations be successful by using technology.
Since that time, Lebertech has made a number of pivots on what the mission of the company is. After software development, web design, business consulting, non-profit consulting initiatives we have reached a mature level of operations and truly understand where our passions are. It was important to determine where are passions were to allow me the ability to focus our resources.
The final pivot I’ve made for the company is to purely focus on non-profit technology consulting with a special focus on using Blackbaud products.
Now that all sounds good, but to not dilute the services we provide I’ve had to make major changes to the company in the last two months that have truly hurt! I’ve referred all other business (non non-profit work) to other partners I have relationships with. Dramatically cut back on staff and turned down business that doesn’t fit into our model.
Now to do this I know it’s the right decision, however now it seems like I rebuilding the company from scratch again. Like the video below says, I am literally “Getting My Ass Handed To Me”. I remember two years ago running around crazy for lunches, coffees, client meetings, work tasks, staffing needs, etc.. That part of the start-up for Lebertech sucked! Now I’m right back in it again!
No matter what I’m sticking with it, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!
Hope this encourages any of you that are going through. #keepitmovin
